It all kicked off this afternoon. A young buzzard flew over Leigh – looking for a meal no doubt.
The local gang of crows were having none of it. Six or seven started attacking the raptor, but the bird didn't seem to notice.
That was... until the cavalry arrived. A family of hobbies decided the intruder was too close to home as he circled Belfairs Woods. One of the trio – probably the female – attacked like a screeching Exocet. The air strike worked as the buzzard flew off. The hobbies headed high towards Two Tree Island where they sometimes feed. Can't ever remember seeing three hobbies, a buzzard and crows all involved in a dust up.
